Jerry Tarkanian's 1986-87 UNLV Rebels spent the majority of the season ranked as the #1 team in the country. Led by Armen Gilliam, Mark Wade and Freddie Banks the Rebels finished the regular season 33-1 earning a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
UNLV advanced to the schools 2nd Final Four and first since 1977. There they faced another #1 seed. Indiana was able to defeat the Runnin' Rebs in a 97-93 instant classic.
The 1987 UNLV Rebels set the foundation for the early '90s teams success. The script on this t-shirt matches the UNLV worn across their jerseys in '87.
