The Mecca Vintage Tee

Milwaukee Exposition Convention Center Arena, better known as "The Mecca" was home to Marquette basketball from 1974-1988. During that time Marquette reached a handful of Sweet 16's, a couple Final Fours, and won a National Championship.
However, "The Mecca" became a national star when a radical new basketball floor was unveiled in 1977 when they commissioned pop artist Robert Indiana to paint the basketball floor. He applied vibrant colors and bold graphics to the traditional markings, highlighted the “MECCA” name, and made the Arena instantly unforgettable to millions of basketball fans.
The floor was bright, colorful, and distinctive. A true one of a kind. Firmly supplanting its history in basketball lore.
