Boasting one of the greatest college basketball players ever in Glenn “Big Dog” Robinson, the 1993-94 Boilermakers won the first of three consecutive Big Ten titles for Gene Keady and earned the #1 seed in the Southeast Region of the NCAA Tournament.
Robinson became the first player since 1978 to lead the Big Ten in scoring (30.3 ppg) and rebounding (11.2) on his way to being selected as the conference’s Player of the Year. He was also unanimously voted as the recipient of the John R. Wooden and Naismith Awards as the nation’s best college basketball player.
"The coaching staff, we thought we were gonna be good. But we didn't know we were gonna be that good."
