Penn State entered the 1995-1996 season with a new head coach, Jerry Dunn. Dunn's Nittany Lions started the season 13-0 going from unranked all the way to #9 in the AP Poll. PSU's balanced attack saw four starters average in double digits while freshman big man Calvin Booth held down the middle of the paint.
After finishing the regular season 21-6, Penn State received the #5 seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament. Even though they were upset by #12 seed Arkansas, the '96 team lives on as one of the best in school history.
