Coached by Jim Harrick, the 1994-1995 UCLA Bruins finished the regular season 25-2.  Although they were led by Wooden Award winner Ed O'Bannon, the Bruins were deep.  Tyus Edney, George Zidek, Toby Bailey and Charles O'Bannon all played key role's in UCLA's championship run.

As the 1-seed in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament, UCLA barely made it out of the first weekend.  Facing 8-seed Missouri the Bruins found themselves having to drive the length of the floor down 1 with 4.8 seconds left.  Enter Tyus Edney.  With the college basketball world watching, the UCLA point guard weaved his way down the court before releasing a right handed floater off the glass and in as time expired!

Wins over Mississippi State, UConn and Oklahoma State in the Final Four setup a title game showdown against defending national champs Arkansas.

At the Kingdome in Seattle UCLA won a thrilling game, defeating Arkansas 89-78 to claim the national title. With Edney sidelined by a wrist injury, Ed O'Bannon played one of the greatest title games in the history of college basketball, scoring 30 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. This championship marked UCLA's eleventh NCAA men's basketball title.

"This was the most fun I've ever had in basketball.  We had the world watching us and we took the national championship away from the defending champions.  Man, this is sweet!" -Ed O'Bannon, 1995 MOP
