Michigan State Spartans 2009-2010 Retro Shorts

Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans entered the ‘09-10 season with high hopes and a #2 ranking in the AP poll. MSU was a well balanced team with 4 players averaging double digits in points. Do it all sophomore Draymond Green provided Michigan State with a versatility that is rarely seen in college basketball.

The Spartans won the Big Ten regular season title earning them the No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament. Close wins over New Mexico State, Maryland, Northern Iowa and Tennessee put Izzo and Michigan State back in the Final Four.
