Kim Mulkey's LSU Tigers came into the '22-23 season ranked #16 in the preseason AP Poll. Led by All-American forward, Angel Reese, LSU only lost 1 game during the regular season before losing to Tennessee in the SEC Tournament.
As a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament the Tigers made quick work out of Hawaii and Michigan to make it to the Sweet 16. Wins over Utah and Miami put LSU in the Final Four where they would beat Virginia Tech and Iowa to claim the school's first national championship.
