Kansas State Wildcats 2007-2008 Retro Shorts (Away)
The K-State Wildcats Basketball team entered the 2007-2008 season boasting the best recruiting class in school history. That class was headlined by Michael Beasley. Beasley averaged 26 points and 12 rebounds a game during his only season in Manhattan, Kansas. He was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and a consensus 1st Team All American.
The Wildcats went 20-11 during the regular season climbing to #18 in the rankings in mid February. After a late season slump KSU entered the NCAA Tournament as the #11 seed in the Midwest Region. With help from fellow freshman Bill Walker, Beasley and the Wildcats upset #6 seed USC, 80-67.
Their season would end in the Round of 32 in a loss to #3 seed Wisconsin.
