Pat Kennedy's FSU team entered the '92-93 season ranked inside the Top 10 and eyeing a Final Four berth. With Doug Edwards, Sam Cassell, Charlie Ward and Bob Sura the Seminoles were loaded.
Florida State would go 12-4 in the ACC and earn the #3 seed in the Southeast Region of the NCAA Tournament. Two wins versus Evansville and Tulane put FSU in the Sweet 16 where they beat Western Kentucky to get to the Elite 8.
Waiting for them in the Elite 8 was college basketball behemoth, Kentucky. Even in losing to the Wildcats, this Florida State team goes down as one of the best in school history.
